This was the venue for last year’s club plate inspection, which was a
winner for the kids.

know if you are coming so we cater for you. Please also let me know if
you have any special dietary requirements. Email me at:

June 2008.
What to bring:
folding chairs
or picnic rug, hat/sunscreen, kid’s bikes/scooters and an appetite!

Dogs are allowed at
this park but they need to be leashed at all times.
Information on
Club Plate Inspection
It is a requirement of the RTA and Council of Motor Clubs (CMC) that the
owners of these cars confirm to the RTA rules and the Club’s
constitution rules to which they belong to.
Our Club requires the following of Club plate owned cars:
Club plated cars also need the RTA renewal of registration to be signed
by the Club Plate Registrar.
Club plated cars are to be used only for
official club runs, club meetings and shows. Unscheduled trips beyond
the boundary of the above list must be logged with the Club Plate
Registrar as per RTA and CMC rules. For the privilege of cheap
registration and CTP insurance, these rules also protect us and the Club
against liability claims involving the car in the unlikely event of an
incident. If it is brought to the attention of the RTA or CMC that the
use of the car is outside club events or we shortcut our own rules, we
could lose club plate privileges or worse, the Police will consider you
to be driving an unregistered vehicle and possible fines incurred.
If you
want to use your car for non club events, please contact me – even if it
is a text message so I can log it into my diary. Remember you do not
need to contact me to use your vehicle for our official club runs, club
meetings and shows. Any run, meeting or show listed in our newsletter
as one of our events is covered by this rule. If you wish to go on runs
held by other Clubs, you just have to contact me and I will diarise it.
Whilst we would to be more liberal with use of Club Plate vehicles, it
is unfortunately out of our control.

For
those who are not aware of Historic registration – it is
specifically for unmodified and original EJ and EH Holdens. The vehicle
must fit a stringent list of requirements to be eligible and Members
must be fully financial for at least 6 months with a minimum of 3 Club
Runs within that period to obtain Vintage Plates. As mentioned above,
having an historic registered vehicle costs much less in annual
registration costs but it also means that you can only use your car for
official club runs, club meetings and shows. Unscheduled trips beyond
the boundary of the above list must be logged with the Club Plate
Registrar.

Holden Day – 2nd and 3rd August
Please visit the All Holden Day Website (http://www.nswholdenday.com/)
to download an entry form to enter the All Holden Day, which is on the
Sunday. It is always a fantastic display of old and new Holdens, with
last year the event attracting over 800 cars. The event also showcases
trade stalls and is well known for its two day swap meet. I recommend
that, should you be looking for something specific that you head out
early on the Saturday avoid disappointment. The Club has always
supported this event and will be attending as a club run. More
information will be in newsletters closer to the date.
